The end of an era…it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the closing of Caravan Beads of Chicago. Believe me, I did not take this decision lightly. We have had a wonderful run for almost 20 years. But over the years the industry has changed and running a small business in Chicago has become increasingly difficult. Dan and I have decided that now is the time to retire and move to warmer weather. I want to thank all of our loyal customers we have had over the years. I have met so many wonderful people and made many friends through Caravan. I have not been in the store much in the last few years. Many of you know Ana V Pizarro and Diana  Ortega (www. avpjewelryandbeads.com) They opened a bead shop at 3960 N Elston Ave. Chicago, Il 60618 . Alex Agudo (www.mpbijoux.com) were the faces of Caravan Beads. I am so thankful to have had such a great team who are so passionate about beading and helping and teaching others. We are all very sad to see the end. We will be having a liquidation sale on all of our inventory .   . We hope to see you during our closing so that we can say goodbye and thank you for your friendships and support.

  9. Bernice Wolsky

This page seems to get a great deal of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to talk about is the most important thing.

  18. This is the right webpage for everyone who would like to find out about this topic.
You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally will need to…HaHa).
You definitely put a new spin on a subject that has been discussed for
    decades. Excellent stuff, just excellent!

  21. Colleen Platt

I’m so sorry to hear you’re closing! I’ve taken classes in two of your three store locations in Chicago. You’ll be missed! Colleen

  22. Received your card in the mail re: store liquidation sale.
I would like to go on line to search for your products as to what is available but am not able to bring anything up on your website.
How can I shop with you without going personally to your shop? I am not one for long distance driving. Thank you for your time?

  23. Hello my name is Pearl. I’ve been working on jewelry, mostly bead making for the past two years. I feel pretty good about how I’ve progressed but I haven’t had an opportunity to share my experiences with like minded individuals. I was interested in being pointed in the right direction as far as way to meetup or a venue where fellow craftsman congregate. I see your classes you offer, so I’d like info on those and/or other informal places people like us convene.

    Thanks in advance

    Pearl Wheat

  24. Jeannie Coleman

I’m sorry I have never been to your store. I thank you for sending the post card. I will try to get there before you close, however. I’m sure the community of beaders will be sorry to see you go. Thank you.
